How Fast Things Were Last Week - Day 3

This was the second day of the workshop proper (April 27, 2010).
the work of my roommate was to be explicated during this day.
he is also a cebuano writer.
i woke up and started freshening up. i woke up a little early because i was used to waking up early in Bohol.
i went to the dining hall to take my breakfast, and my roommate decided to stay in the room for a little while. i went ahead of him.
after having breakfast, i went back to our room to prepare myself for the sessions for that day.
at around 8:30, i went to the conference hall and found all the other fellows also getting themselves ready for the session.
i took my seat, the one where i chose to sit the day before.
the first session for that day began. the works of my roommate were taken under the eyes of the panelists and the other fellows.
after more or less an hour, his(the poet's) identity was revealed.
we had a great time dealing with his collection of poems.
after the first session, we had a short break and had snacks.
after fifteen minutes, we resumed with the second session.
the next work was explicated for an hour, i guess.
then, we took our lunch. again, the food was great.
after taking my lunch, i went back to our room and congratulated my roommate for making it successfully during the deliberation of his collection.
i also decided to take a short nap, so as to give myself a time to rest, especially my eyes.
after the break that i took for myself, i went back to the conference hall because the third session for that day is about to start.
the third work was explicated.
after the explication of the work of that author, we took a break (snacks). hehe
we were then told that there will be a new set of consultations with the panelists. we are to go to another panelist.
i decided to go to Ma'am Asenjo, together with Roselle and Gian.
we had a good consultation together with our panelist. i had the opportunity to get to know the other two fellows who were with me at that time.
we ended at almost 6:30 in the evening. we thought that dinner was already served, but we were wrong. hehe
we just stayed at the dining hall, waiting for the food to be served. and, not less than twenty minutes, the food was served.
minutes after we finished our dinner, Gian proposed that we drink something outside the campus. fortunately, majority of the fellows agreed to his proposition. at almost 8 in the evening, we decided to get out of BK and went to a nearby place that could cater to the desire of the fellows. lol
we drank one bottle of Red Horse each, and went to another style of drinking.one bottle, then served at many times. we had one gunner. it was roselle, then she gave up her throne as the gunner to another person. i think it was to jordan.
we ended at almost 11 in the evening. the curfew was 10:30. we were so late. it's a good thing that the security guard was kind enough to still let us in even if we were very late.
we bought some food from the convenient store across the street.
when we got inside BK, we went to the dining hall and chatted for a few minutes. we had so many topics.
we decided to call it a day at quarter to twelve. we said our good nights. we went back to our rooms.
i went back to my room as well. i took a bath before going to bed. since my hair was still wet, i decided to read the works for the next day.
after reading, i closed my eyes as i went into bed.
it was a nice day. drinking with people i barely know, i suppose. but, it was a lot of fun. everyone was very happy. i was also happy.
this day was April 27, 2010.
